GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible for working directly with the senior accountant and other accounting and accounts receivable staff on accounting functions and activities related to cash reconciliations and accounts receivable general ledger imports.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or equivalent experience required.
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting field.
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer literacy and comprehensive understanding of payroll and accounting software programs.
Good organizational and time management skills, problem and analytical skills, attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Must be capable of performing the ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS and PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL JOB FUNCTIONS as outlined below.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1.
Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations for all depository cash account, accounts payable cash accounts, operating cash accounts, realty cash accounts, and resident trust cash accounts in a timely and systematic manner.
2.
Responsible for reviewing, correcting, and importing accounts receivable batches to the general ledger system.
3.
Works directly with the senior accountant, controller, assistant controller, and accounting manager to assist in preparing the organization for its annual audit by the independent Certified Public Accountants.
4.
Works directly with the senior accountant, controller, assistant controller, and accounting manager to prepare information necessary for the completion of external reporting documents (i.
e.
, costs reports, etc.
).
5.
Responsible for other duties and special projects related to accounting and financial reporting as assigned by direct or indirect supervisor.
