PURPOSE:
This position will report to the Plant Controller and will be involved in, or directly responsible for; fixed assets and the support of accounting and other compliance matters for our operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in month end financial close processes in accordance with U.
S.
GAAP, including journal entries, variance analysis, and account reconciliations.
Manage the fixed asset inventory cycle count program and properly transact disposals.
Record new fixed assets and book monthly depreciation.
Assist in Accounts Payable functions such as statement and aging reviews.
Lead multiple tax preparations and submissions.
Perform internal control reviews to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.
Interact with internal and external auditors as required to accomplish objectives.
Support the Plant Leadership team and communicate as a business partner.
Improves knowledge by partaking in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and sustaining personal networks.
Engage in continuous improvement efforts.
Perform all other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
Experience with large accounting/ERP systems.
Syteline preferred.
Ability to analyze large volumes of data.
Demonstrated research and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Communicate with impact and clarity to all levels of business partners.
Proven history of handling multiple tasks with accuracy.
Strong organization with high attention to detail.
Thorough knowledge of U.
S.
GMP.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting to 25 lbs.
Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
