Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
- Train and supervise housekeeping staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and identify areas for improvement
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient guest services and satisfaction
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Handle guest complaints or requests in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain a safe working environment for staff by enforcing safety guidelines and protocols
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping management principles and practices
- Ability to effectively clean and maintain various areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and facilities
- Experience in custodial or industrial cleaning, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
- Familiarity with floor care techniques, including carpet cleaning, waxing, and polishing
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong leadership abilities to motivate and supervise a team of housekeeping staff
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests, staff, and other departments
