The Habitat for Humanity of Tuscaloosa ReStore sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, building materials, and housewares, much of which is donated by members of the community.
All profits support Habitat Tuscaloosa new home construction and home repair programs.
Job Title: *ReStore Box Truck Driver*
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
* Previous experience driving a 16' box truck (or similar)
* Ability to work with a team
*Job Responsibilities:*
* Employee will be responsible for driving 16' box truck to the homes, businesses, etc.
of donors to pick up various types of donations (furniture, appliances, building materials, etc.
)
* Employee will be responsible for loading donated items onto the truck and unloading them from the truck into the Habitat ReStore.
* Employee will be an ambassador for Habitat Tuscaloosa and should interact in a positive way with donors and other members of the community.
* Other duties as assigned.
*Job Requirements:*
* High School Diploma
* At least one year experience driving a 16' box truck (or similar)
* Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
* Commercial Drivers License preferred (not required)
* Must have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
and work in an environment subject to heat, cold and dust.
*Compensation/Hours/Benefits:*
Flexible hours Monday through Saturday.
No Sundays.
Hourly pay and benefits commensurate with education, experience, and abilities.
Position requires working some Saturdays.
