*MARION MILITARY INSTITUTE* *INTENT TO EMPLOY* *Posting Date: February 6, 2024* *POSITION: ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR (RECRUITER)* *SUMMARY:* This position is primarily responsible for recruiting students to achieve enrollment goals.
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:* *REQUIRED EDUCATION, STANDARDS, AND TRAINING* * Bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited institution.
* Ability to work with a wide range of people and a have a commitment to diversity.
* Ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems.
* Skills in effective communication and presenting public presentations.
* Experience with and sensitivity to diverse populations fostering a culturally accepting Corps.
* Ability to travel and work a varied schedule.
* Ability to use Microsoft Office Programs, including Word, Access, Excel and CRM system.
* Experience with social media and design tools.
* Must pass required State of Alabama Background Investigation.
* Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record is required.
* Military experience and/or previous military school experience as a student or employee.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * In addition to adhering to general policies and guidelines specified by the ACCS Board of Trustees and the MMI Faculty/Staff Handbook, the successful candidate will also perform the following duties: * In the Director’s absence reports to the Assistant Director of Enrollment; * Serve as a member of the Admissions Team managing a recruitment prospect population to assist in achieving enrollment goals for Marion Military Institute; * Implement recruiting strategies as outlined in the admissions strategic plan to include high school visits, attendance at college fairs, area receptions, and other events; * Input data in order to update and maintain the enrollment management database; * Initiate, plans, and executes special projects in conjunction with the goals and objectives of the College and the Admissions Office; * Travel to college fairs, high school visits, and other events that may include overnight stays; * Work with students, parents, and/or alumni organizations that assist with the recruitment of students; * Supervise and mentor Cadet Recruiting Officer/Ambassadors; * Provides admission presentations to visitors during campus daily tours on campus and off-campus events; * Advise students and families of admission requirements, transfer guidelines, cost and scholarships information, residence life, etc; * Provide follow-up to students and parents via phone, letters, email, text, and schedule appointments; * Ensure completion of admission applications, evaluate credentials, and makes admission applications complete; * Initiate and implement projects when directed; * Represent the College and the Admissions Office in a professional manner; * Maintain a positive attitude that will promote a healthy cultural climate as Admissions Counselor; * Complete routine reports related to recruitment, projections, personal schedule, travel, special programs, and professional development; * Participate in the scholarship committee; * Evaluate program effectiveness, assesses outcomes, and give feedback reports; * Adhere to MMI policies and procedures regarding travel and procurement; * Performs other duties as assigned; * Manage the CRM system as a supplemental duty.
*SALARY:* Salary Schedule C3 04; $45,260—51,691, based on relevant education and experience.
