Overview:
Clean and sanitize rooms and furnishings in assigned areas, following established policies and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout Fayette Medical Center.
Responsibilities:
Maintain all assigned patient rooms, ancillary areas and department areas in a clean neat and sanitary manner.
Maintains all assigned ancillary areas, department areas, clinic areas and corridors with the correct preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in department policy as requested.
Maintains responsibility for attendance and punctuality.
Assists in enhancing productivity and efficient operations of the department.
Promotes effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships, maintaining professional conduct at all times.
Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence.
Performs cleaning and refinishing functions in all assigned areas and follows appropriate departmental policies and procedures as observed by supervisor.
Inspects and utilizes judgment in determining which cleaning techniques outlined in orientation guidelines to follow.
Demonstrated efficient and safe use of housekeeping equipment and solutions as observed by supervisor.
Replenishes supplies in dispensers as required.
DCH Standards:
Maintains performance, patient and employee satisfaction and financial standards as outlined in the performance evaluation.
Performs compliance requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook
Must adhere to the DCH Behavioral Standards including creating positive relationships with patients/families, coworkers, colleagues and with self.
Requires use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software and intranet.
Must adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
Able to comprehend, follow both, verbal and written instructions.
Ability to understand, follow both, training and in-service education.
No previous experience required.
